Something for the weekend

Strider is back for Easter. Lovely to see that big grin.again.

Rather a tiring day physically and emotionally. Good weather ‘though. Feels like spring has finally kicked in. Unless you are in Ukraine of course where the mounting evidence of Russian atrocities is appalling. This now looks like it will be a long haul, and how we maintain the humanitarian momentum here - and in places like Yemen and Afghanistan - when people are having to manage energy costs and rising inflation at home will be a big factor. 

On which topic we received notice yesterday that our gas and electricity standing order is increasing by a staggering 50% - an increase of £145 per month. We knew it was going to be bad but when you get it in writing your jaw drops. We can cope but as The Dizzle said, this is a massive blow for families on low incomes.

But not to worry our great leader (the first serving prime minister to get a criminal fine for partying during covid) will I am sure level it all up at some point…
