MollMolls
I awoke this morning to hearing Mrs C was travelling in to see Ms H, Molly had lost use of one of her legs. They travelled back and straight to the vets, and on the way home heard Molly had fluid on her lungs and may have a tumour affecting her heart. Any treatment they could do was unlikely to improve things, so we all travelled back to the vets to her and let her sleep for the last time. She had deteriotated in those 2 hours, so it was the right decision.
Although she had started to show some health issues in the past couple of weeks, we weren't ready for such a rapid turn of events. Molly had been a rock to Ms H when living with her at university, always there to comfort each other. When Molly lived with us at home, she would only venture downstairs when she had to, and kept herself to herself in the past few years, even before Arlo. So for them to be together was the best for both of them and I'm so glad they did that. I am sure it is going to be tough for Ms H with just a month or so to go, for now she is back at home where we can care for her.
We buried Molly in our garden, next to the wall she liked to sit on. She arrived here in December 2005, Santa had asked Ms H to look after Molly and her brother Tom, while he was busy with presents, and then told her on Christmas Day they could stay. We had 4 cats then, it was a crazy cat house, and fun; Ms H adored them all. Molly had a special bond with Ms H that Mrs C or I could not really replicate.
We'll miss Molly loads, finding her following the sunlight on the floor in the morning to sleep, hearing tiny feet stomp around as she zoomied upstairs late at night, taking a walk with us around the fields, and just being a tiny bindle of fur we could always give cuddles. RIP Mollmolls.
