Rhinos Loose In Lincoln!
Day "off" today. I did the floors but not much else domestic duty - wise. I just pottered about a bit and then went into town to pick up a few things and find a Blip. There is another "trail" around the city - the Safari Trail featuring animals seemingly made from grass - it is artificial grass of course!
So far I've seen these rhinos and a gorilla but I know there are others dotted about - they may feature in future Blips.
I had a call from the care-home today to say that they are not open for visitors currently as they have a Covid outbreak in the home, which is very stressful for staff and residents. She did say that my Mum is not one of the residents who has it, and those that do are not particularly ill with it so I suppose the vaccines do help, even if they are not actually preventing the spread.
She had also called my Dad and of course he then called me as he only heard half of what he was told. He's not particularly concerned - my Mum has the best immune system of anyone we know. My Dad and I would often catch colds and other bugs but she very rarely got anything worse than one mild cold every couple of years or so! Physically even now she is very fit - it's a shame her mind has turned to cabbage soup. The issues she has with walking are more down to balance and not "remembering" the mechanics of actually doing it.
Also today I received a letter from the benefit people about the accidental over-claim of my Mum's benefits, and they are taking it back by deducting a small amount (Less than £20 a month!) from what they pay until it is cleared. It won't be repaid in her lifetime unless she becomes the Worlds' oldest woman and most likely outlives me!
There is Rugby League on TV tonight - the first all-French Super league derby between Catalans Dragons and Toulouse!
In other news I did the Wordle in two goes today!!
