Ratty
Had a different day today - though the walking doesn't stop - legs feeling it right now after nearly 40,000 steps in 3 days - not used to this kind of action. Anyway, down to Salisbury and coffee at our favorite independent coffee shop - though it seemed to have changed ownership - still good. Then on to the train to Southampton where Tony met us and took us to our old friend Dave who lost his wife Marie in September and he is now also 93 this year. (Tony also gave us a couple of his home brewed wine - the Barolo is being imbibed at this moment and is surprisingly good). This was followed by a great pub lunch with our friend Jeannie and a quick hello to her daughter Georgia. On our walk back I spotted this chappy, who was trying to negotiate his way across this bar in the river, but there was a swan standing in the middle and he came out a couple of times and pretended not to notice until he suddenly made a mad dash under the swan and onto the other bank. Extra of him sitting on the bar pretending that the swan wasn't there.
