Lifeboat
The Wighton is a pub in Torquay near the hospital. I was on my way back from there today after having stitches removed from my lip. The pub is named after the Wighton, one of the last sailing boat lifeboats ( Watson class) stationed at Torquay RNLI Lifeboat Station , until the station was closed in 1923.
I was told that the sore on my lip was something very nasty but the good news is it has been completely removed. I feel like I have been rescued by a lifeboat- the good ship NHS. Can’t praise them enough. Only two months from first going to the doctor to operation. Grateful beyond measure.
