Blue sky
My mother died at 2.30am this morning.
I drove up to Macclesfield from London where my cousin Lorna joined me.
She drove me into Manchester via Tesco where I bought a case of wine to say thank you to the nurses and doctors who cared for her over the past three months.
I took this picture outside Manchester Royal Infirmary Renal Unit as I was standing with my wine waiting for my cousin to park the car. I was propositioned a fair few times as I stood there, a surreal sight walking into a hospital with a portable party.
The nurses were delighted and it made a hard day easier.
And mum is at last at peace, no more pain and suffering, just clear blue sky.
