Lethal moment

every now and then, sad to say, birds fly into the windows at our house.... this time it was a dove as you very clearly can see from the mark it made on the stair well window..just before it went a dove angel...

..thing is, there was no other mark of it than this...yet I can not imagine it surviving such a crash!?
