Maggie's Centre, Dundee

Vicky and I had a meeting at Dundee Medical School today, where I blipped the back of Maggie's Centre in the grounds of Ninewells Hospital.

Maggie's Dundee is located at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Anyone with cancer, their family and their friends are welcome to drop in to the Centre for a cup of tea and a chat with one of their information and support specialists, to browse the library or to access one of the courses designed to offer emotional, psychological and practical support.

Maggie's Dundee is fulfiling the purpose for which it was intended: helping people with cancer, their carers, family and friends from across Dundee and Tayside learn how to manage the physical and emotional impact of living with cancer.

Maggie's Dundee was designed by Frank Gehry and was opened in September 2003 by Sir Bob Geldof.

Once back in Edinburgh, went to see Brian Friel's Translations at the King's Theatre, which was not too bad at all.
