Bloodroot - Flower Friday
I finally found a flower while walking along the edge of the woods in my local park! This bloodroot plant (Sanguinaria canadensis) is my first wildflower of the season. It is one of the earliest spring ephemeral flowers here. This plant should not be touched because its red juice is poisonous, and skin contact can cause a serious rash.
