Then the sun was darkened

Good Friday 15th April 2022

Morning and afternoon services and the ecumenical  walk of witness through the village at lunch time. 

A few of us usually have fish and chips after the walk as we don't have much time before the afternoon service and it's a long day. We were disappointed yesterday to find that the fish and chip shop in the village would be closed today, which is unusual. On his way home our caretaker stopped at the shop in the next village and ordered them there so we could still have lunch. Apparently the shop wasn't planning on opening until 4pm but agreed to do our order only at lunch time! That was very kind of them and they were very nice.  .
