Hellebore or Lenten rose

This is the third year for my hellebores and they are delighting the gardener in me. The hellebore is in the ranunculaceae family which look like roses. Roses have petals that group in fives. This one has one group. Some tea roses will have 5 groups or more and are very full. I planted 5 different colors of hellebores but this was my favorite. I like the fact they bloom as soon as the snow melts...one of the reasons they're called the lenten rose because they bloom close to Easter. Hope you enjoy the picture and the short botany class.
