Star Flyer in Action

The 180 foot high 'Star Flyer' chair-o-plane ride in operation.
Not as photogenic as I expected it might have been as there are no lights on the chairs so no light trails.

That posed a problem of waiting until it was dark enough for the lights to show up well but not so dark that the chairs couldn't be seen.  Another problem was the fact that the lights were animated in constantly changing colours and patterns.

Seven captures, each of 1/4 second exposure, went into this image.
When combining them, the modes used on the top three of them were: 'overlay', 'multiply', and 'grain merge'. The three below were combined using 'screen' mode.
