Big bonsai

In many gardens in Japan, trees such as this one are lovingly and meticulously kept in perfect shape all year round. As you can imagine, this involves a lot of hard work, and, as a bit of a dilettante gardener myself back in the UK, I am always impressed and a little disconcerted whenever I pass by.
