Rest in Peace, Sweetheart!

Rest in peace, sweetheart!
Today we had to make the worst decision to let Omo go.
His new medication was catastrophic for him. Our poor darling couldn't  stand them and had lot of bad side effects. So we decided to stop the last try, that made him much better again. 
I spent a lot of time during the night in the garden, where he found some relief. He enjoyed the coolness of the morning sun.
Our sons came for a last goodbye and to help us through this awful situation. Omo really enjoyed this last day with a lot of cuddles.
He was a most happy dog when they were digging his rest place. There were so much clods to catch!
In the afternoon suddenly a rainbow appeared over us. His rainbow bridge was waiting for him!
In the evening a mobile vet came. We were very grateful that he could be put to sleep on his favourite place, were he was watching over his family for 13 years. We are devastated!
Rest in peace, my sweet darling and soulmate. You were the best dog ever, a true one in a kind. Thank you for your endless love and confidence.
I will miss you endlessly. I'm heartbroken.
