Denbigh Town 4 Rhostyllen 1

As Chester played yesterday I had the opportunity to visit a new ground and ventured into Wales to watch Denbigh Town play an Ardal North West League game against Rhostyllen. The league seems badly named as Rhostyllen is in Wrexham which is pretty much North-East Wales but that is not as far over as Saltney Town whose ground is virtually on the border. I think the name is really split according to transport links. Perhaps it should be named the Ardal A55 League.

Its a fabulous location (see the extra with the Clwydian hills in the background) and I had a really enjoyable afternoon although I think the scoreline flattered Denbigh. The main photo shows the Rhostyllen goalkeeper beaten by a long range free kick for Denbigh's fourth goal.
