Bread and Wine

We caught a train to London, then the underground, to meet up with David’s niece, Katie who is a chef at a creative restaurant in Soho called “Andrew Edmunds”, where we ate last year when we visited her. She is soon to move to Trullo, which has a focus on top quality Italian food.
This time we dined at another restaurant called “St John’s Bread and Wine” in Shoreditch, recommended by Katie’s partner who is also in the restaurant business. It was an excellent experience with locally sourced and seasonal delights.
We then hailed a cab to get us back through London avoiding the crowds and disruptions. There were a lot of people in London today due to it being Easter weekend, the sun was shining, there was going to be an important Liverpool v. Manchester City football match taking place there; not to mention the protest marches being held on the London bridges.
When we get back David is looking forward to relaxing in front of the 70” TV screen at Mark and Rosie’s house back in East Horsley, to watch the aforementioned game. I will relax in the sunshine in their beautiful lush garden.
