Happy 80th Birthday to Paula

Yes this is what you do on your 80th Birthday, you cement the stones back in the step, whilst Tanzy keeps guard.

It was a nice sunny warm day and we had a lovely morning walk, then went for a bag of sand and cement to the local village DIY shop, well they sell everything, if we want anything we always try Torvill's first. I got some hanging basket liners whilst I was there too.

Bumped into our neighbour had a chat about a street party for the Queens Platinum Jubilee.. She was telling us that she rang up about closing the street off but it was expensive to do that and she was told that if we wanted to hang bunting out from the lamp or telegraph posts, the posts had to be tested for strength first at £45 a post. how daft is that. Anyhow we have decided to scrap that daft idea and will decorate round our own gardens, and as we are a cul de sac will use the top half of the street,  I'm not a royalist but I love a " bit of a do ".

I cut all the lawns today too, in fact to top lawn twice as it had grown long so cut on high cut first then on a medium cut. My legs are tired with all the walking.

Tonight is the April full moon, the pink moon it's called. and it tells us when Easter Sunday is. Did you know  this months Pink moon is known as the Paschal Moon. In the Christian ecclesiastical calendar the name is given to the first full Moon after the  spring Equinox on the 21st of March, Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after this Pink Moon, which this year is the next day as it happens.

Have a Happy Easter Day and don't eat too many eggs
