The Lions

This a view from my deck too. The double peak mountains re called " The Lions"
The inverted V to the right is Grouse Mountain ski hill. These hills are on the mainland and I did have to use my telephoto lens. They are seen quite easily with the naked eye, but then the eye is superior to a camera.

Yesterday I spent all day pinning quilts at a massive, once a year, quilting bee. All the work is done by volunteers, and all the materials are either donated as is or bought with money that has been donated.
These quilts are called " Comfort Quilts" and are donated to individuals who are ill, and could use a bit of comfort. They are treasured by the folks who receive them.
We--- That is Salt Spring Island ---- give from twenty to forty each year. It feels very good to donate a day, once a year, in this way.
My back hurts today, but so what, it will get better, and a good number o very sick people are going to feel loved.
