(Not Quite) Dune

The earlier attempt to film Dune in a compost bin filled with chicken shit proved to be less than successful. The slow worms felt that being asked to play sandworms was a stereotypical use of a bilateral species and they refused to burrow.

Meanwhile, it became apparent early in the filming that the inside of a compost bin really didn't do justice to the landscape of Arrakis.
