A Mighty Oak

A bit less busy today - and I managed to get out for a walk this morning. I only did 3.5 miles today (I have been a bit slack recently, not having been out since last Monday - so I have a bit of ‘catching up’ to do).

There are lots of flowers open in the woods at the moment - bluebells, wild garlic, wood anemone and ladies smock, so lots of potential blips there. However, I settled on this shot of a magnificent oak tree. I love the shape of it and it is just beginning to show new leaves but you can still see all of the branches and twigs. Add in a flash of bright yellow rape and a little bit of blue sky and I think it makes a lovely countryside scene.
