Lunchtime Accident

Easter lunch and this girl, our glamorous organist in church, was cutting her home made cake (note all the little chocolate eggs!) when the china handle of the cake knife broke and stabbed her in the palm of the hand.

Her mother patched the hand with sticking plaster and bandage, but it continued to weep so one of our number, the one who had had no wine, was "volunteered" to take her to A&E.

But our organist heroine is a paramedic for the regional Ambulance Service and was very reluctant to use the service for which she works so hard, not wishing to add to their workload, particularly at a weekend.  However, she went . . .
