Is Golf a Good Walk Spolied?
Today is my birthday. The plan is to play At Kingarrock Hickory Golf Club with Mr and Mrs Dog and to enjoy a birthday dinner back home.
The day started with a fine fog or Harr as shown in the main photo.
We arrived at Kingarrock Club House at the appointed time and received the introductory talk about the history of the course. We were given our bags of clubs and then taken to the first tee.
The grass was wet and this of course slows down the speed of the ball.
None of us, can be described as golfers. This is not a course for Beginners as we quickly found out. However, we travelled through the course gradually improving our scores. Eventually we finished and returned back to the Clubhouse for Ginger Beer and shortbread.
The extra shows the largest wildlife hotel formed by the one tree felled in the storm. In the distance is the Mansionhouse.
No is the answer to the question. We enjoyed ourselves and I learned a lot about the Sharp Family and the history of golf at Kingarrock.
We arrived home and enjoyed another dinner with friends around the table. My birthday cake was chocolate with quinoa made by Pat. Very tasty.
