Speke Hall (NT) on Easter Sunday
We had a lovely day out at Speke Hall. The weather was fantastic.
The place was packed but there is a lot of space so it didn't feel packed - the car park was pretty full. We got there before the masses.
We had a walk on the coastal path then the higher one where you can watch planes coming in to land at the airport nearby. We walked through woodland which was full of bluebells and families doing the Easter trail. We went in the Hall - it's been a few years since we went inside as the last few times we remained outdoors. We had lunch in the restaurant before walking some more through some of the woodland and the gardens plus some of the Childe of Hale walk which is a fun trail.
Home to all the washing having dried - exciting!
The weather has turned this evening and it's rained.
Extra photo of butterfly sunning itself on ivy along the plane-spotting path at Speke Hall.
