SCENES FROM THE BACKYARD

The flora and fauna is all from the backyard today, which actually looks more like a forgotten corner of a scrapyard than anything else. I've completely neglected it over the winter and early part of the Spring but decided to start getting it into shape today. It's only tiny, but I kept getting distracted and having to fetch the camera. The blackbird couple are nesting in next-door's front garden but have been raiding the linings of the old planters in the backyard for nest material, and he seems to be finding good things to eat in another overgrown planting trough... slugs and snails I hope. Other than that, a quiet day with a Zoom crossword with my sisters this evening.
