Neighbors
The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us.
These are my across the street neighbors. She and I were texting and being generally silly. He wanted to go out for some food and she was paying more attention to our goofiness than her other half. Eventually, she said they were going to leave. I ran outside and snapped a picture.
I hadn’t had my eyebrows waxed since before the pandemic shuddered the world, so on a whim, I stopped by a place where I had never been. Now, my eyebrows are lopsided and a chunk of my lip was torn off. One learns a lot of lessons in life and you can be sure that this is one I will never forget.
