Another cow calved during the night when I went to feed then first thing. It hadn't sucked so did the usual and hauled the calf onto the bike and took off for home with mummy in hot pursuit. Put them both in a pen until I had everything else fed then put the cow in the crush and managed to get the calf sucking all 4 tits.
The other 2 calves in pens from yesterday look like they have had a feed so at least that saved some time
After lunch I managed to get down the road with another couple of loads of fertiliser on to the spring barley. One more should finish the job tomorrow, but have just been outside tonight and it has started to rain ,so maybe not .
We shall see.
These wee daisies we're adding a bit of colour to the cows field today.
