Entering Glen Affrich

We headed off up into Glen Affrich today to do some exploring and walking. Another absolutely glorious day were we really in Scotland in february?
As we turned the bends into the Glen we were hit with stunning icy landscapes. We pulled over at the side of the road to take in the Beauty of the frozen solid Loch. You couldn't smash it if you tried! He tried!

THe ice forming round the rocks was just so cool. It was like walking into Another world and I kept expecting to see Polar bears wandering through

Anyway we headed further up toward Loch Affrich to complete the 11 mile hike around the Loch. Not quite like a gentle walk around Virginia waters; uneven terrain, crossing streams and lots of hill climbing up into the Bens! The layers were being stripped off within minutes! We only passed one other couple in the whole 11 miles so definately escaping the hustle and bustle of life back in London! Felt so good to take in all the fresh air and see such Beauty and Stunning Landscapes

And Luckily we didn't even get Lost

we certainly earned a good dinner and some Wine tonight!
