Standing guard....

I love these bearded irises - they are just so magnificent - how can you not feel uplifted when looking at such a stunning flower!
anyway, spent 8 hours watering, pruning - and singing (only when there's no-one close by!)..... to the plants today.... it was such a beautiful sunny day here and the colours and the abundance of floral beauty - well, just pretty amazing! totally exhausted now... and looking forward to some yummy supper (my daughters are cooking tonight) so i'm off to have a glass of wine or 2!!!
