From the park to the bank.
Through the garden gate lies an historic 1852 mansion house. Owned by the Council, it could be put up for sale if the public agrees; it actually belongs to the Common Good Fund (a good quirk of local politics) so that means residents of the old burgh must be given a say in it’s disposal. It’s been the subject of a public consultation which ended on Thursday. It could used as a small hotel, another commercial enterprise or homes. It’ll be an expensive venture though. And as B listed any project will be subject to various constraints. We parked at the wee park and walked through the garden to the bank in town centre. Not everything can be done online. We didn’t need to go into the branch, the machine outside met our needs.
Watched FOSCROC Super 6 rugby on TV. Our team got beat at 78 mins. 150 miles north my younger son’s team was beaten at 78 mins too. His last game of season.
Older son and wife had a blue sky early morning sail from Outer Hebrides whilst many of us were still not up and about. They’d a fine Calmac breakfast. Photos of the crossing were lovely. And their trip through the Highlands was scenic and uneventful.
