After at least three years... a flower!
My Christmas cactus (aka Thanksgiving cactus, Crab cactus, May flower, or, properly, a Schlumbergera) bloomed today for the first time in at least three years. Maybe as long as five. My office window faces south so the light is fine but some of my pants were just not performing. A colleague suggested I play classical music for them. They do look a bit better and this plant started to bud and, now, a bloom - so maybe there is something to it. One bloom isn't much, but it's a start!
Apparently, they are native to Brazil. Wiki.
