Admittedly still some months away, but in January next year, the plan is to be on a boat on the Irrawaddy for a while and then a week or so in Mandalay.

So off to the library today where there is a splendid travel section with atlases AND a globe that rotates around the poles and also dips through the hemispheres.
The research has begun!
