Small tortoiseshell butterfly on dandelion

Like most gardeners I am not too keen on dandelions! However they are a good source of pollen for bees and butterflies so I leave a few around. This one wasn't in my garden though. It was near St Germains loch in Bearsden.

Extra photos are a Mallard I spotted. One looks like it is laughing. Maybe it is?!
