Beauty & Beasts

The Bank Holiday weekend sunshine had almost gone, and it'd dropped a few degrees, but we decided on a cycle ride from Tongwynlais on the outskirts of Cardiff to Penarth (to visit my dad) and over Cardiff Bay barrage and back to the start.  About 20 miles.

The blipfoto is of Mrs BB stood alongside a stunning pink flowering blossom tree in Bute Park, alongside Cardiff castle.

After some time with my dad we were cycling over the barrage when someone shouted my name. I didn't recognise him at first, as it's been something like twenty years, but it was a former colleague who went back to Ireland and the Garda police. He was 'glassed' one night and almost blinded (hence the sunglasses), and after working on the Hillsborough investigation (Merseyside) is now working in Cardiff with the IOPC. We had a quick catch up and exchanged details and Mrs BB took the photo' of us - the beasts (extra).
