See the light on your face

Bank holiday Monday. How lovely.

We woke late. How lovely!

It was too windy for breakfast outside.

We took a trip to the allotment. Himself has the rest of the week off.. and has a list of
Jobs to complete and a new fence round my plot is on the list.

We measured. We chatted with next door and then we bumbled back to the car. Oh and I found new asparagus grown. How exciting is that.

Then we came home and I made a soda bread … and himself so inspired by me (not by me at all, but by Nadyia) started to make buns.

I just stood and gazed at him kneading the dough. I love watching his hands work. It’s like therapy.

Then I hit the garden … oh dearie me. I’m trying to dig up some long established plants in my front border to make way for a wild flower bed. It is taking me forever.

By the time I was finished, I was stiff and sore and waddled round the back door and painted some stones to relax myself out.

Now we are just sitting chilling.
