Bienenstich cake (Bee sting cake)

Took this to remind myself to bake it when I'm back in Ireland :) It *seems* easy enough. 

I don't know how I hadn't heard of Bienenstich before considering I would visit Germany relatively often and I lived there many years ago. 

Layers are flakey and topped with almond and honey, with some lush vanilla cream. Well, most of it is usually cream! :)
