A reminder snap

This is thw only picture I took today - a snap of the bottom.of their wellies as I can never remember their shoe sizes. They need footwear for a very fancy fancy dress party that is coming up. I thought I had succeeded and even found boots for the eldest with spare red laces - doesn't get better than that! Except, getting hoke and getting him to try them on, they just didn't fit well. Disaster, he had already fallen in love with a pair of ill-fitting boots. I managed to get him to our local shoe shop, they had one possible contender, amazingly that fitted beautifully, only to be told the boots were £65 (!!!), and then, the shop assistant said they were the last pair, we could have them for £40. Phew. The eldest declares he hates them,as they don't have red laces. The husband is envious as they are a brand of boot he has always wanted. You just can't win.

Today I'm grateful for:
Getting out for a run
Lovely cuddles with the youngest after I had told him off (for headbutting me, which really hurt!)
Potting up plants with the eldest
