Greyhope bay.
A fabulous viewing station over the mouth of the harbour. The Bottle Nose dolphins play and feed to the delight of the small crowd. The cafe served some delicious Hit chocolate, while Daughter in Law, (DiL), Evi explained how she had volunteered to fund raise for the building of this project. As she knows a lot more about marine animals than we do, being our expert, she explained that this pod of dolphins numbers about 250, but they are spread right up the east coast. They can be seen at Inverness and right up to the North of Scotland. We watched through the haar, (grey sea mist) from the comfort of the cafe. Gav was at home post op pup sitting. Poor Honey did a but much yesterday at The party, so she is on restricted exercise. No free runs for a good few days.
The booked family Easter Sunday meal turned into quite the disaster.
We got a call when on route to the restaurant, that the carvery only had lamb and turkey left. We said we would still come as we had booked and had nowhere else to go. We arrived and were ignored for about 10 minutes. During this time a burly, very drunk English guy was helped out of the bar area by a friend. When outside he decided he wanted back in. Barging in he fell and bounced off a game machine and landed on floor. We escaped into the bar area as he then threw chairs and terrorised families celebrating Easter. After he was removed and local PCs arrived, all calmed down.
Then we were told there was no carvery left. Would we like free vegetables?
Happy Easter at the chippy.
