Aberdour - Burntisland - Aberdour
When the sun is out and you have a child-free day, where would you go?
My destination of choice today was the Fife Coastal path.
The coastal path, which starts in Kincardine and ends in Newburgh, runs for approximately 183 km, and today I walked the section from Aberdour to Burntisland and back, which was around 10km.
I started at Silver Sands beach before following the path which runs alongside the railway, through woodland and passes a lovely waterfall. Although it was a sunny day, the views across to Edinburgh were a bit hazy.
Once you come into Burntisland, the path comes out through housing, where you then have to go down to the high street and along to the beach before continuing along the coastal path should you wish.
It was a pleasant section to walk and not too busy, and it certainly set me up for the day. Now I just need to decide which section of the path to walk next?
