All done - at last!
Back to Oxburgh today for the first time since October (apart from the training day in February) Great progress with the repairs - no scaffolding in the courtyard for the first time in nearly 6 years - it looks huge now (see extra). The roof, dormer windows and chimneys have all been replaced and look fantastic - I know they are new, on a 500 year old building, but the fact that it is the whole roof, not just patches, makes it look OK I think. There is still a bit of scaffolding still to be removed from the moat but that should be down very soon.
The other extra shows the Wisteria which grows in one corner - it completely took over the scaffolding in the 6 years it was up and so all came down when the scaffolding did - but it has not died - there are some leaves and ONE bloom above the centre window! Nature does not give up !
