End of week 2 on my online CELTA and on this course my assistant tutor and I have an end-of-the-week online get-together with the trainees to check on how they are, see if they feel supported and if we can change anything.  I was keen to do it on previous courses, but the idea was never taken up.  This time round I can make the decisions :-)  Another decision I took on this course is that the trainees only get slides given to them for their first lesson, then they make their own materials - slides, Word docs, whatever, using the course book material allocated to them.  A bit scary and much more work for us, but I think more developmental and real-life for them.  This week 2 went well and I was pleased with the progress.  Trainees all tired, but happy. 

I treated myself to dinner in Triki-Trac to celebrate the end of week 2 and was on my own, with Bb being in Philadelphia, well actually NY today.  We texted back and forth during dinner.  Wanted to be there with him!
