Markstakes Common

Can't resist another bluebell shot. This one is from Markstakes Common where I had one of my two butterfly recording transects for the past ten years. I've now found someone to replace me and gave them a walk around the route. I'm still going to be recording butterflies on my heathland transect until we move. Sadly my daughter has decided to give up her career as a zoologist. Despite having a double first, a masters degree and six years experience the pay is so low she can't afford to continue in the environment sector. She's been offered a job in software engineering at more than double the pay.
