Fresh air
The weekend started off with a very very stressful Good Friday.
An incident. Not going to give details, but it was really rather worrying.
Early calls to and from carers. Calls to doctors (not open with no alternatives available), calls to 111 (unable to help), calls to 999 (paramedics came and did the job of someone else including social care and support - seemingly quite usual in this cock-eyed upside down world), and finally, calls to and from social services on their emergency number. After many hours, we got things settled down such that we could hopefully get through the weekend without further drastic action and intervention.
So, today, it was time to go to mum and dads to re-assess and determine what next to do. Thankfully, things remain settled and hopefully we've been able to row back a little from Friday. Not sure for how long though. This journey is going in only one direction.
I took the opportunity to get dad outside in a wheelchair for him to get some fresh air. There's been precious little of that for many months. He enjoyed it despite the cooler weather, that is, until he started to get cold. He has had to put up with unimaginable stress and pressures recently on top of multiple health issues and falls. Nice to see him enjoy something for a change.
