outdoor spring clean

first day back at school to find the estate team working like trojans scarifying and doing all those spring time lawn jobs - a thankless task.
it's fun hearing all the stories of what the kids have been up to - the worst one was of 3 lads hiring sit-on canoes and paddling out beyond a bay and its protective headland where one capsized and panicked. fortunately he was saved by a passing pleasure craft.
as a kayaking instructor, i failed to see the funny side of it - where were the parents?
