Can someone please explain to me

why anyone should have to go out on the streets to demand that others don't try to turn them into something they are not?

Before I became a parent I believed that it was possible to shape children. Not long afterwards I learnt better. You can support them in being and becoming who they are or you can damage them. The same goes for the education system, the church and the state. Why even try?
