Me!

A cousin in America sent this picture to me they had found amongst a bunch of family photos my Aunt had left. They wondered if it was me.

Well yes it is me! I am pulling a very odd face but I do remember the day so well. My Mother was approached in a shop one day and a lady asked her if she would consider letting me , then aged 4, be the Crown bearer for the Barnstaple Carnival Queen.  She agreed and so this was my big day! I can still remember sitting on the float with the Carnival Queen and her two train bearers  plus me! I was I have to say a bit of a little minx and spent a part of the procession feeding pennies down the back of the train bearers dresses after they were thrown onto the float!
