Fanfare of Amaryllis

Grown in the porch, my amaryllis just keep on giving.   This one was a rescue, a rather shrivelled dry bulb given to my care by Una, my mother-in-law.  As her health deteriorated a few years ago, various plants were given into my care.   Several amaryllis and a couple of orchids all continue to brighten my home and evoke good memories of a kind and supportive woman.

A busyish day.  Laundry and housework after dropping the car at the garage for air con repairs.  Repairs that are not yet resolved as it now needs input from a manufacturer software expert.  I smell another big bill :-/

Very nice to get a message from C inviting Meg and I to join them on a walk.  Just what I needed. Meg showed the benefit of my work on helping her be calmer when we meet other dogs although C’s calm presence also helps.  An almost bark free hour, lovely, even if the dogs did need a bath after chasing through some very black mud!  Somehow I managed to fit that in while the dinner cooked.  A meals on wheels beef and winter veg pie shared with Jamie and Tilda at Jamie’s.
