Hobbs's Run

Imperfection

Every couple of autumns or so I get the urge to shoot a near terminal leaf and unashamedly extract as much in the way of colour and character as I can. No, this effort is definitely not SOOC. I had started with quite a perfect, shapely, backlit example but in the end, that one lost out to this relatively crumpled affair, which just seemed to offer more personality.

I like to think of this result as something from one of those 1950s "technicolor" movies in which cheeks were a fraction too rosy, shadows were just a bit too blue and the gold doubloons in the pirate chest were just a measure too lustrous. (Sigh). Part of me still misses that sort of thing.
