Windy Wednesday

Gusty winds blew all day long but we enjoyed sunshine and not rain for a change. The flower beds, gardens and lawn are mostly soggy so we avoided them, but we did get a few other outdoor chores ticked off our list • We’re thrilled to see these tulips we planted last fall coming up. Many of the daffodils and jonquils are budded too. Life is returning slowly but surely to our acre and a half • A frost/freeze warning tonight, with a couple more later in the week. That should be it for the season. The timing works out because we won’t be planting radishes, lettuce or pansies until Sunday • Only a few dear deer visit at night now. I’ll be closing the Standing Room Only Cafe by the end of this month • Peace & Love from Maine
