Sun at last

The sun came out today and made the blossom zing against the blue sky.

I spent the morning in town with a new friend. She was born in England but has lived here since she was a few months old. She is a breath of fresh air - funny, irreverent and young at heart. I think we will become good friends!

In the afternoon I started cutting back a laurel hedge that has become rather overgrown. The whole hedge is about 40ft long and I managed about 8ft. Its going to be a long job.
