Breakfast in the house and then before I set off for the Lake District we had coffee and cardamom buns home made and delicious, while Emilia had a nap and then she woke up!

Today’s children are never supposed to be left on their own for a single minute and have to be entertained at all times! Being set up for separation anxiety?

It was hard to leave when we were sitting in a lovely sunny garden but time went on! A lovely drive up in sunshine and not a huge amount of traffic!

Tutrned off at A66 having stopped at Tebay farm shop for a bskewell tart gelato! Arrived at 1645 just before reception shut and picked up the keys. Helen arrived about half an hour later and we worked out how to bake the potatoes and went out for a walk around the village of braithwaite
